About Susie
I am an Associate Professor (Research) in Nursing at the 精品无码国产自产 and Co-Director of the South West Clinical School听 and Co Director of the Torbay and South Devon Clinical School听I am foremost a qualitative researcher with specific interests in innovative methods, patient and professional experience, the understanding and development of cultures of compassionate, effective and safe care. I am involved in developing nurse led research both in practice and the university, linking research education and practice. I supervise Doctoral Students and teach on听 qualitative methods and the end of life.听
Areas of current research include the developing and supporting nursing and multi -disciplinary workforce,听 identifying the challenges听 priorities for people living听 at the end of life and those working with them, exploring听 person centred听 and quality of care in care homes.听 Developing models for safe ICU nursing care. I have been leading a project across the听 SW Region to develop a skilled research Workforce and听 work to support the SW Clinical School across the Peninsular as a whole and with Torbay and South Devon in particular developing nursing strategy, workforce,听 practice based research, innovation and development in practice. I am the Director of studies for a number of听 health and social care professionals听 who are doing their PhD part time whilst working in practice.听
