Teaching

Teaching has featured strongly throughout my research career, from supervising undergraduate project and placement students, to training clinicians and graduate students (MSc, MSci, PHD. I have enjoyed teaching undergraduate students in biochemistry and across the medical sciences, using a range of innovative and traditional learning approaches.

In the School of Biomedical Sciences, I currently teach on BSc Biomedical Sciences (including Foundation), BSc Nutrition, Exercise and Health, and BSc Medical Sciences programmes, with a main focus on human metabolism. I have lead roles on Nutritional Science 1 and 2 (stages 1 and 2), and Contemporary Issues in Human Health (final year). I also enjoy supporting the academic, personal and professional development of undergraduate students in my role as personal tutor and placement supervisor.
