Welcome to the Peninsula Dental School
Our three core aims: outstanding clinical education; strong social engagement; and world-class research feature strongly in your learning experience when you come to study dentistry with us. 
A key strength is our close relationship with NHS partners, with early clinical contact for all our students. We offer students ultramodern facilities and are committed to producing dental practitioners with clinical skills of the highest order and a strong sense of social awareness. Our state-of-the-art Dental Education Facilities provide a substantial service to over 10,000 NHS patients per year.

Award-winning contribution to dental training and community care

We recently received recognition at Times Higher Education Awards 2023 for our continued work to provide dental care and training.
The pioneering work of the Peninsula Dental School and the Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise won the Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community category at the awards ceremony. It is recognition of the efforts of more than 100 staff and 400 students working and studying with the University, and in communities across Devon and Cornwall.

Peninsula Dental School Cultural and Diversity Evening

鈥淛ames and I organised the first Cultural Evening on behalf of Peninsula Dental School because we felt that there are so many cultures and traditions among the school鈥檚 students and staff. We have been very fortunate to study with students of all ethnicities and backgrounds, and the event was a showcase of this, as it allowed students to convey their traditions and talents to their peers away from a formal setting. During the evening, foods, music and dance from students were enjoyed by faculty members and students across all years. Looking into the future, we hope to continue this as a tradition that is unique to the Peninsula Dental School at the University.鈥
