eHealth Productivity and Innovation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (EPIC) is a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary project, initially funded in 2017 by a grant of 拢2.7 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the South West Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), and received a further 拢4m to extend the project until 2023.

South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) champion collaborative approaches to problem-solving that often shine light on opportunities to innovate and act as a catalyst for change. Their work covers the whole of the South West and tackles challenges associated with pockets of deep, long-standing and increasing deprivation; an ageing population; children living in poverty; and a dispersed and sometimes isolated population.
With a focus on understanding and addressing of complex health and care challenges experienced by the population of the South West, whether coastal, rural or urban, the South West AHSN is the perfect partner to assess the need and strategic importance of each funding application that EPIC receives. 


Kernow Health CIC Limited is a social enterprise focused on securing the future of Cornish General Practice. As a Community Interest Company, they use their resources to improve healthcare in the communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. They deliver a range of services from all school-based immunisations to 111/OOH integrated urgent care.
Kernow Health work with a range of local partners to improve integrated patient care and are focused on supporting GPs to address workload, workforce and property issues.
