University Practice Partnerships: Sustaining collaboration across learning environments (UPPScale). ¾«Æ·ÎÞÂë¹ú²ú×Ô²ú Institute of Education is working in collaborative partnerships to promote social justice, develop pedagogy and enhancing learners’ experience.

The UPPScale group includes a variety of settings such as alternative, special education and mainstream education and community organisations where we can share expertise and engage in research that make a difference.

We conduct research with a variety of partners, such as nurseries, schools, colleges, universities, charities, and arts and leisure organisations, in a range of contexts. These include the home, work, nature, arts and the community. UPPScale has four main strands: Research Partnerships for collaborative projects; Placement Partnerships for initial teacher education and professional development; Student Partnerships featuring student-led research and community projects; and Future Partnerships for developing ideas, funding bids or opportunities. 
UPPScale was developed by a steering group alongside Associate Professor Jan Georgeson and Senior Research Fellow Rowena Passy. They lead the UPPScale team in offering support in planning and implementing research projects. If you are interested in any of these types of collaboration, please email uppscale@plymouth.ac.uk.
